Rustic crochet pumpkin made with jute for Home decoration.
In this tutorial, I want to crochet with you a pumpkin made with jute yarn.

Useful information before starting
To crochet the pumpkin you have to know:
- working in continous round;
- basic crochet stitches.
🧶Used yarn and materials
- 50 gr Mondial jute in orange (941) and brown (939) colors
- Crochet hook: 6,5 mm
- tapestry needle
- stitch marker
- stuffing
Final sizes are 10 cm height 16 cm width, working with the indicated yarn.
📗 Abbreviations & meanings (US terms)
- CH = chain
- MR = Magic Ring
- SC = single crochet
- SLST = slip stitch
- DC = double crochet
- INC = Increase, 2 SC in the same stitch
- DEC = Decrease, 2 SC together
- PIC = picot (3 CHs and 1 SL ST in the 3rd CH from hook)
- REP * = repeat from * to * until the end of the row
📜 Crochet pumpkin pattern
🌸STEP 1 – Pumpkin
Start with orange jute yarn.

| 1 | MR, 10 SC | 10 |
| 2 | INC in each stitches around | 20 |
| 3 | *1 SC, INC *; REP * 10 times | 30 |
| 4-10 | 1 SC in each stitches around | 30 X 7 |
If you want a higher pumpkin you have to add other rounds of single crochet without increases.
Reached the desired height, start with the round’s decreases.
| 11 | * 1 SC, DEC *; REP * 10 times | 20 |
| 12 | DEC in each stitches around | 10 |
| 13 | DEC in each stitches around | 5 |
Close with 1 SL ST in the next stitch.
Cut the yarn leaving a long tail to use to sewing.
🌸STEP 2 – Petiole Pumpkin
To crochet the petiole use the brown yarn.

| 5 | INC in each stitches around | 10 |

Turn upside down.
| 7 | * 1 SC, in the next stitch work: 1 DC, PIC, 1 DC and in the next stitch 1 SC *; REP * 5 times | 5 LEAF |
Sew the pietole on the upper center of the pumpkin.
