🧶 Used yarn and accessories

- Mercerized cotton FINE (2)
- Crochet hook size 3 mm
- needle
- scissor

Using the same type of yarn that I used, the leaf will measure approximately 11cm in length.
Useful information before starting
The processing of the leaf is carried out with the single crochet in relief and is worked in a back and forth row starting from a base chain stitch.
The curvature of the leaf will depend on the number of initial chain stitches.
Lengthen the leaf by continuing to work rows to the desired length.
📗 Abbreviations & meanings (US terms)
- CH = chain
- SC = single crochet
- SLST = slip stitch
- INC = Increase, 2 SC in the same stitch
- REP * = repeat from * to * until the end of the row
📜 Crochet pattern of the leaf
Let’s start by doing a basic chain, and the number of initial chain must be an odd number.
ROW 1 | Start in the 2nd CH from hook and make SC along the row, in the last stitch of the row work 3 SC in the same CH. Now you are on the opposite side of the chain. Work 1 SC till the last CH. |
NEXT ROW | Each new row starts with CH 2, turn the work and skip the first stitch. Work the single crochets along the entire row, working only in back loop. |
CENTER ROW | Always do the double increase (3 SC in the same stitch) in the central stitch, where the increase was done in the previous round. |
Continue working SC on the opposite side, always working only in the back loop, skipping the last stitch.
📌 You will have the same number of stitches on both sides
Now continue doing the instructions on the NEXT ROW until you reach your preferred length.
