Tips Before You Start
The Kissy Doll amigurumi is worked from the feet up to the head in one seamless piece – no sewing required!
You can start crocheting the attachable parts (hair, eyes, mouth, ears, arms) in advance, so once the body is ready, you’ll be all set to assemble her.
Yarn and Tools I Used for Kissy Doll
- 100% cotton in pale pink for the body and other parts (yarn weight: Fine / category 2)
- Cotton-acrylic blend in blue, pink, and lilac for the hair and outfit (yarn weight: Light / category 3)
- Silver lurex polyester yarn for a sparkly touch on the hair and dress (yarn weight: Super fine / category 1, used double-stranded)
- Hook size: 2,5 mm – perfect for tight stitches so stuffing won’t show through
- Final height: approx. 14 cm (5,5 inches)

You can use a different yarn brand; just make sure to match the yarn weight if you want your doll to be the same size.

- Pass the needle to the front center, and lightly tighten the thread to create the bottom shape.
- Tie a small knot at the belly button to secure the thread, then go back to the back and cut the thread.
Make sure the belly and especially the bottom are well-stuffed to hold their shape.

How to crochet the Kissy Mouth

Use the same yarn used for the body.
Make a MR and work 5 SC, 1 SL ST, and 6 SC inside it.
Tighten the ring and make 1 SL ST into the first stitch.
Leave a long yarn tail before cutting to sew the mouth onto the face, and use the same yarn to embroider the nose.
How to Embroider the Nose

This method is useful not only for Kissy Doll but also for other amigurumi dolls.
The embroidery is very simple and gives a delicate little nose on the doll’s face.
Just make a horizontal line between the eyes and go over it several times until you reach the desired thickness. The more passes you make, the thicker the nose.
If you place the stitches closer together, the nose will be smaller.
Let your imagination guide you and create the nose you love most for your Kissy!
How to make the Hair with Bun – Version 3 Kissy Doll
