Variation: chicken egg holder
You can easily transform this crochet egg holder into a chicken.
- use white yarn for the base
- add a red comb on one corner
- create a small yellow beak
This version is perfect for Easter decorations
How to add a red comb
Using red yarn, attach the yarn while holding the triangle with the point facing upwards.
Work into the arch on the right side of the top point as follows:
1 SC, 1 HDC, 3 DC, 1 HDC, and reach the central arch; repeat * 3 times.
On the last repeat, add 1 sc and 1 sl st to fasten off and secure the yarn.
How to make the beak
Using yellow yarn, make a magic ring and work 3 SC into it.
Continue with 1 INC (2 SC in the same stitch) in each stitch. You will have a total of 6 SC.
